QuestionMr. McGaughey,
I was given an antique bamboo which was my grandfather's. I is a 2 piece Montague, with only the markings "Genuine Tonkin" which refers to the bamboo I believe. It appears to be a salmon or ocean fishing pole, for it is quite stout, only about 5"-10" long. It has only three eyelets, one on the base, two on the tip. The middle is a double eyelet, one on each side of the pole, and the tip has an eyelet that is axial to the pole.
I am not an avid fisherman, but all of my research has gone to identify the model number of this pole and its worth. I can send a picture if you need. Thanks in advance for your help.

He has written a great book "Rod Crafting A Full-Color Pictorial & Written History from 1843-1960 " which I own and has allot of wooden and older rods in it and he knows these really old rods pretty well. If you contact him tell him Mac from Denver sent you.
