H-I Rod Question
Question
I'm looking to find out how old my H-I fly rod is and it's value. I read your post on H-I history and the different decals, but mine didn't match any of the descriptions. My rod is a two pc. rod and has two different length tips. The decal near the cork grip is a yellow elongated diamond w/ red H-I and Utica NY under the H-I but in the diamond. There is a full colored trout to the left and top of the diamond. Also, there's two words in gold script that say "Tonka Queen" and a decal that says "Genuine Tonkin Cane". Would it be possible to put a date and value to the rod?
Thank you for your time,
Jeremy

Jeremy,
Bamboo Rod Restoration Handbook -Michael Sinclair dates your rod to 1945- 50.Queens were built from the 30s to the 50s.
Value according to Antique & Collectable Fishing Rods:

Your rod has a broken tip so at best it is in good condition.
