ledger stops

when u use a line running through ledger how do u use a ledger stopper to keep the ledger from moving.

Hi Stephen,
A ledger stop has two pieces. Feed your line through the piece that looks like a small section of tubing. Slide it to where you want it and now put that little tapered piece into the hole. It acts as a wedge holding itself on the line at that point and keeping your weight (or whatever else you want to stop) from going any further.
You can also use a small split-shot to do the same purpose. But, many anglers feel that the ledger stop does not damage the line as much as a split-shot.
