True Temper Rod Value
Question
I have my grandfather's True Temper tubular steel fly rod. It's made by American Fork and Hoe, Model No-20, 8 1/2'. I have the divided canvas carry case with aluminum tube for the tip section. The rod seems to be in pristine condition with no scrapes or scratches and the maker decal in full red and yellow color. The cork on the handle is complete with no "hook holder" marks and minimal staining. I have no use for the rod, being more of a spinning fisherman and feel it might be of better use with a collector or someone who might actually use such a rod. Can you possibly give me some guesstimate of it's value and how I might go about finding an interested purchaser?

Your rod should be able to sell it for $30 to 50. You can put it up for auction on ebay or list in your local craigslist.
The challenge of selling on the internet is finding a tube to ship it in. Fedex sells tubes for around $10...or can try a carpet store.
