I am going to fish a lake recently stocked with brook trout. the lake is dammed. I would like to know what i should use and where i should fish it

Unfortunately there's no single, etched-in-stone method for catching trout. However, at this time of year it's probably still relatively cool where you are and the water hasn't had much of a chance to warm up. Trout in these conditions are often a bit sluggish and hardware lures aren't always the best way to fish for them. I'd start off in deep water with some kind of bait, like nightcrawlers or single salmon eggs. First try fishing this bait with a bobber and if that doesn't work then let the bait go all the way to the bottom. One bait that's often very effective is called "power bait." It comes in a jar and is a lot like silly putty. Just mold a blob around your hook and let 'er go. If you can find an inlet to the lake is another good place to fish because that's where a lot of the food trout eat washes in. Best of luck to you!
