2 old fishing rods
Question
Mr. McGaughey my father just gave me 2 poles from my grandpa and I was curious to your insight. 1st I have a South Bend, South Bender No.411. Its a one piece solid aluminum rod and looks to have been turned on a lathe from one end to the other. Its 58.5 in. long and is in good condition. The thickness of rod at base is approx. 1/4" to 5/16" hard to tell with plastic piece at the base. Cork handle with all eyelets and wraps. 2nd is a PFLUEGER fiberglass model number 660-P 5'6" long green 2 piece with cork and plastic handle. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks Jason
Answer
Jason,
My area of knowledge is US fly bamboo rods. I have seen all metal fly rods and have not been able to sell them, same with casting rods.
Shakespeare and Pflueger have a rod database on the web:

Here's what they have on your Pflueger:
Model Number Brand Model Name First Year Type of Rod
660P PFL Solid Glass Rod 1968 spin casting
History of Shakespeare ( nothing specific on your rods or Pflueger)

If you were looking for a value estimate , it is very low. You might check ebay
