on the fly

Dr. Stern,
For a year i have been trying to catch a carp over 24" on fly and am yet to have on make it to shore. i hooked into one last summer that was at least 28", but she bent the hook strait. other than this, i cannot seem to figure out which fly patterns would be effective for them. I've tried baiting, but have also been unsuccessful. any info on the subject would be helpful. thank you

Carp can be tough "ON THE FLY"
but an incredible fight,,,,,
there are several people that I know that do quite well, as a matter of fact, rumor has it that a 50 pound fish was taken on the fly in Minnesota,,,,,
