male bass
Question
i know females get bigger, but how big do male largemouth get? thanks for taking questions
Answer
Hello Harry-
Good question. You are right, the female of the largemouth bass family does reach much larger size than the male.
Generally a male does not get bigger than a few pounds. I think it is possible that a male can get to be around a 4 pounder, but it is generally going to be a skinny and older looking fish at that size than a female would appear.
Thanks for the question! Good fishing to you!
