QuestionI have an old Higgins 2969 fly rod in great condition, just wondering the worth or demand.
Thanks
AnswerHello
In terms of collectors interest and value here are some guidelines
American Custom/hand made rods - most desireable
American High quality production rods - more desireable
American low/medium high production quality rods - desireable
Japaneese post WWII flyrod kits - low desireability
Considerations on value
Condition - flyrod collectors are very demanding on condtion.
Size - certian sizes are rarer - often smaller 6-7' rods
Completeness - most rods came with two tips, cloth bag, the nicer rods also had an aluminum tube.
I think your rod is in the high production, low-medium quality.
For specific value more information is required. However, you can get an appraisal here (photos help):

If you have any fishing lures, etc this is my specialty.
