Sebago Special

I have a three piece fly rod complete with tube and storage bad the rod has Sebago Special #25.00 Registered #8r on in looks like hand painted any idea of its age and worth thank you

Hi Gary,

Well, you stumped me on this one.  I can't even find anything about a Sebago special rod.

That said, there are some better experts on this panel than I when it comes to identifying rods and old rod values.  

They would be Rich McGaughey and Joe Douglas.  You can e-mail pictures of the rod to Rich at [email protected] and he will probably have a good idea.
