fenwick fs 83c 8-6 glass rod

Joe,
 I'm looking for the above mentioned rod, or blank. Do you have any idea where I might find one. also what would be the closest current manufactured glass pole, and or blank...for obvious reason if I cant find the 83c, I want to find its equivalent...I just feel the fiberglass rods offer a better weight-size-feel-sensitivity- compared to todays graphite equiv...not to mention there superior durability...and could you recommend the blank components to equate to the 83c....guides, tip, handle,....casting model...

Hi Bruce,

Sorry, I don't have a ready source for these.  The obvious places are online auctions, flea markets, and garage sales.

There are several suppliers that carry glass and glass/composite blanks that may be suitable for your pruposes.  Lamiglas and Seeker fiberglass blanks are readily available.  You might try contacting Angler's Workshop in Woodland, Washington, for suggestions on what matches best your specifications.  I buy a lot of products from this supplier and they have quality items as well as a large selection of blanks. Call them at 360-225-9445 and I'm sure they will be able to help.
