Hardy Rods
Question
Hello Robert
I was wondering what the approx value would be on a Hardy Bros. bamboo rod. Its serial number puts it at 1920, hex shape two piece, bound every 1" with three guides located on the extension piece with none in the main piece. I would say it is a stiff rod compaired the my newer casting rods but still has a nice and very different feel to it. The finish is dark amber with maroon color thread for the eyes and the lashings every inch are black. The cork is in decent shape considering the age. The two piece is locked together by a twist type screw arrangement, brass into brass. No case no reel, could there have been a center section at some time to extend the rod to 8 or 9 feet?
Cheers
John

Rod collectors are primarly interested in custom made or high quality production fly rods. Bamboo casting rods dont generate as much interest. I would estimate $50-$75
