Questiontoday i bought a rod for my husband who just recently decided to try fishing to relax we got it at a car boot sale and while walking round met another seller of rods who advised us to take ours to an expert as he belived it to be worth 200 pounds wondered if this is to good to be true he also offered to buy the rod but we didn't want to sell but husband don't want to use it if it is valuable so any info would be helpful thanks.
the rod is a Edgar sealey fly rod made in England it is signed by terry Thomas and has S.F.TROUT as well and conolon live fiber it is complete in original bag and has end protector on it comes in 2 sections and i bought 2 reels with it 1st is Daiwa 7280 and the other is Daiwa no.7300 any information will be most helpful
AnswerWOW! You were smart not to sell your rod on the spot! It's worth more than the 200 pounds offered to you. I'm not sure if you know this but Terry Thomas was a World War II era comedian. I STRONGLY ADVISE YOU NOT TO USE THE ROD! You seriously need to look into getting it appraised by a proffesional. After you get it appraised you should sit on it a while and put it out on the internet that you are willing to sell, because there really are some serious buyers that would kill to have that rod.
