Luers
Question
Hello Mr. Wisniewski, I was wondering what type of luer is best to use on a cloudy day for pike fishing?
Answer
Hi Attilla,
There are so many variables that go into choosing lures. If you are asking what color to use on a cloudy day, the old adage is "bright day-bright lure, dark day-dark lure".
That hold true to some extent. For spoons and spinners I like nickle or silver on sunny days and gold or copper on cloudy days. In murky lakes, I'll use fluorescent yellow blades or spoons on sunny days and fluorescent orange or red blades on dark days.
But choose the right lure for the lake first, then choose the right color for the sun/cloud conditions.
Good fishing,
Marc
