Rich, I was given two 10' bamboo, what I believe are surf rods. The handles are wrapped cord and there are wrapped cord designs between guides. one guide is missing a ring on one of the rods. There are no markings on either rod so I assume the are home made. I am attaching pictures, have you ever seen anything like these, any info would be helpful.

Yes I have seen large bamboo rods like this.
They aren't in any books and are probably not collected.
I use one as a wading staff.
The ones I had were made by Montague but there being no obvious written history . . .
