QuestionQUESTION: Robert, Thanks for your help in advance. I've got a number of Hi Fishing Plugs. They're labeled Hi fishing plug with the part # at the top of the card & Horrocks Ibbotson Co. Inc. Utica, N Y 13502 Japan at the bottom of the card & are all in plastic "bubble packs" with a stapled & wrapped cardboard hanging card package.
Do you know anything of these plugs? They were all wrapped up in 1963 newspapers when I got them.
Thanks,
Mike
ANSWER: Mike
If you can send a photo, I might be able to help more...HI was around for a long time, but the fact that Japan is labelled on the bottom indicates to me they are post WW2, consistent with your newspaper comment

QUESTION: here is a pic.....I've many varieties of these plugs.
Thanks, Mike
AnswerMike
I am going to do some further checking....the fact that they are un-used in the original container is great....but note value on fishing tackle is down due to the economy so it may be better to hold them for a while.
I am guessing $5-$15, but will check with some other collectors for you.
regards
Bob
Mike,
Follow up from fellow collectors was close to my range...since they are made in Japan, the value is lower than american made lures.
