QUESTION: my girlfriend and i want to book another guided fishing trip to vt. or canada we
would like the names of a couple guides.our problem is that some guides are
concerned with fishing themselves rather than helping us .we love catching
smallmouth, so can you put us with someone worth his 350.00plus per day.

ANSWER: MOST of the time when a guide is fishing, it is in order to better help you to fish and catch fish. They are figuring out what method or what bait will best work for you. NOW there are people who do fish too much and just for themselves. These are few and far between normally. A lot of these guyides will also hook a fish and hand you the pole. This insures that you catch a fish where this is legal.

If you prefer to fish in Canada let me know. Eastern Canada / Ontario is more of a trout water, and it is hard to find a smallmouth guide. http://www.BLWC.com Bear Lake Wilderness Camp is just north of Michigan about an hour and is a Boat in Facility with walk in lakes as well as being on a major water system.
Another guide in the New England Area is Muskie Daze guide service. He does not fish for smallies though.

I am not familiar with that gentleman as a guide. I only list about 700 guides around the country. This does not mean he is not a good guide. As for places to stay please consider www.USAHotelsAndMotels.com bookings through that site go to help veterans, especially the families of those wounded in the war on terror. Simply chose a state and then a city for a list of local hotels with varying prices.
