just a quick question
Question
i don't know if you have an answer for this but i was wondering if a slightly acidic or slightly basic pH in the water affects the feeding habits of fish?
Answer
I have read and heard that either over or under acidity in the water can not only affect the bite of fish but can if it goes too far in either direction have a very detrimental affect on their survival. However I do not know enough about the effect of PH on fish to give you any direct answer. I do know someone who might be able to give you an answer. I do not have his e-mail address anymore but I can direct you to another friend who can help you make contact. The second friend is the site guide at "fishing.about.com His name is Ronnie Garrison and he can give you the information to contact the other one who's name is Kevin Dallmier. Kevin is a fisheries biologist in the state of Georgia. He has written an excellent guide to fishing in the state of Georgia and probably can answer your question.
Try going to fishing.about.com and send an e-mail to Ronnie and ask him to connect you with Kevin.
I am sorry that I cannot answer your question directly but I am sure Kevin can be of some help.
Thank you for calling on me to answer your fishing question. While I cannot answer your question I think I have given you a means to get your question answered. If there are further questions about fishing within my expertise please do not hesitate to ask. I do not consider myself to be an expert in everything fishing but I have had a lot of experience in the day to day enjoyment of fishing for many years
