QuestionI have a Heddon split bamboo rod (circa, 1940's), that is
missing some guides. Is there a reliable source where I
can have it restored?

I usually charge $35 per section unless you want something special. I charge cost for any replacement parts. My estimates are free. Shipping is $15. I remove old varnish and thread , preserve any labels , re thread , straighten, polish and re varnish with new wraps. I check and re-glue ferrules. I test cast. I personally own a number of replacement parts that can be used to make rods fishable. A set of modern guides is about $ 15. I recommend them as modern lines have larger diameter than vintage lines.
It will look brand new when done.
Luck,
Mac
