QuestionI read the response you sent to Phillip in 5/08 regarding real estate. Please help me out, too. My husband duck hunts on the water between Sealy Landing and River Jct. Landing, so we are looking for a place with easy/quick water access to this area.of the lake. Nothing fancy, but comfortable enough to use as a weekend vacation spot for family and friends as well OR it could even be a lot that we could put our 5th wheel camper on until we could either build or set up mobile home on. It doesn't have to front the big water, but would like it to be on some water and to be able to keep the boat docked there. We live appx. 1 hr drive from both of the landings mentioned and know the area fairly well from fishing and hunting there. I've been communication with realtors in Bainbridge, but can't quite find much. If possible, we'd prefer to buy directly from an owner. SO, if you know of anything, please share info.
You mentioned in your message to Phillip about "the right kind of people." I think we'd fit the bill. Solid, hardworking folks, early 50's, 2 kids in college, etc!

AnswerJulia; There are some places for sale along the road I live on. Some are on the lake side of the road where land prices are high and others are across the road where land values are much lower. If you will send me your e-mail address I will send you information on some of the ones that are for sale by owner or address and phone number of relator.
Just to give you an idea my place on the water has a tax evaluation of $120,000 with a 50 year old house. The place that I used to live just across the street is valued at $36,000 with a doublewide on it. I was told the house does not matter much on the water side but the lot is what makes it so high. I just recently sold my place across the road for $38,000. There is a good landing one mile west of my place. I am located on the Spring Creek arm about a mile above rattlesnake point.
What I will do is send you the address of any places I find for sale and let you contact them. I will indicate whether they are on the water side or the land side.
