Old Reels

I'd like to find out the value of some reels I have and some info on each. a Blue Eagle, The Steamer ART # OFH w/box and papers. A MEEK FLY REEL No 55A on box but 55 on reel. Model J.C. Higgins Model 3141. I have pis of ea if needed. Thanks Perry

I'm not really the antique expert on this site but I'll take a stab.

First of all, I am stumped on the Blue Eagle.  I can't find anything on that one.

The JC Higgins were private label reels made for Sears.  Unfortunately, there are quite a few out there and they aren't worth very much to collectors.  Probably $10-$20.

The Meek is a good one.  That one could be 80 years old and rare.  If you find the right buyer, that one could easily go for $150-$300.
