Garcia FLy Rod # 2537-A
Question
Tell me something about this rod, Its in great shape and I would like to put a good reel on it and try it out. Thank you for the input, Jim
Answer
Hi Jim,
My data is limited on the Garcia fly rods, but I can tell you that it was made in the 1965-1975 time frame; it is fiberglass; and it is a good, quality fly rod. Current collector value is in the $30-$50 range.
The rod will probably use a 7wt or and 8wt fly line. If you have both, try them and see which works best for you. If you don't have them, buy an 8wt line as it will work fine for pretty much anything you want to do with the rod.
You should enjoy fishing with it.
Thanks, Joe
