Mac, I understand you are the expert on vintage rods and wanted to know if you would give me an idea of what I've got... and how little it is worth. I know HI made a ton of rods and most have little or no real value.
This rod is in excellent condition, have original aluminum tube w/ label, and cloth bag.
Here is what the label says... the label is the one part of the rod with flaws! go figure.

Then there is more writing that is scratched, but there is a lightning bolt, a big P...scratch, lightning bolt
under it is 25 then what looks like 1/something
under that is "Registra...scratch...69

I have enclosed some pictures.
If it were not for the flaked off portions of the label and the stains on the bag, I would say this rod has never been used. The reel mount doesn't have any wear.

In your search for information on be sure to mention it is fiberglass. That is the material it is composed of.
The H-I rods are typically not real valuable. The fiberglass models are usually the lower valued rods.
The bamboo rods are looked down upon, by the collecting community and often they are justified. They were sort of mass produced , rather heavy and very slow. They are not going to resale for very much.
A small portion of these rods are decent fishing tools . It is the collector community that decides the prices , please don't blame the messenger.
I find two books are available at larger libraries to get history and or value:
Antique & Collectable Fishing Rods: Identification & Value Guide Homel, Dan. 1997 (2nd edition 2000) ,add 30% due to the age of the book.
Bamboo Rod Restoration Handbook -Michael Sinclair

But your fiberglass rod is not in these books. I am guessing they are collected but not enough that much is written on them.
