cisco kid old rod

hi i have a Cisco Kid Professional has a number 5000 on it. i received it in 1970. has never failed me to this day. the greatest rod. could you tell me a bit about if you know. it it also has a possible diamond in the spring mount.

Andrew; While I have heard of the Cisco Kid brand of lures I have never seen a Cisco Kid rod.  I am no expert on rods but I think if you have something that might be valuable try getting hold of a recent Bass Master magazine and going to the page on antique tackle.  The author of that page is an expert on such things and will likely let you know if it has value and perhaps some history of it.  He might even include it in his page in the magazine.
