copper bells

Question
is there a better way to place your bell on your pole other then the tip of the pole. I tend to sling my bell 10 yards behind me when i pull to set the hook do you have a answer for this. think you.

I'm guessing you are talking about a bell for the likes of catfishing. I just started doing this kind of fishing with a new friend of mine who is very experienced. He doesn't like bells. He likes the Berkley glow rods with the light inside of them for at night. Another thing he does is use circle hooks which doesn't require a hookset. The European guys have special pole holders for carp fishing that have an electronic sensor the you clip the line to and it beeps and a light comes on when the line pulls out. Very high tech and effective.
