Hi John,

The longer Granger rods tend to favor either a 6wt or 7wt line in modern line labeling terms.  If you have both line weights, try them and see which works for you.  If you don't, or can only acquire one of them, get the 7wt line and use it.  The Aristocrat was in the middle when ranking Granger rods which would lead me to guess that it was made for the 7wt line.  Use a weight forward (WF) or double taper (DT) line on this rod.
