Edwards Bristol 17 8ft two tips bamboo

  Could you tell me what the value would be of my Edwards Bristol 17 8ft with two tips in good condition? Many thanks. Best, Bill

You did not tell me how many sections - 2 or 3 . I also assume your rod is a fly rod , also. Lets see if you like my guess:
Kovel says :
Edwards, Trout, Bristol, Model F 18-8, 8 Ft. 325 - I assume he means it is in mint condition.

Price Book:Antique & Collectable Fishing Rods: Identification & Value Guide Homel, Dan. 1997 (2nd edition 2000) add about 30% for age of book

Homel gives the 8.5 model Model F-18 fly rod by Edwards with an extra tip, 3 sections a value of  $65, 180 and $325 for poor, good, excellent condition respectively. Please quote the book not me as I have never seen the rod's condition.

He mentions other F models but not the 17 , the 18 is probably close.
