QuestionThanks for taking my question.
I have a six sided bamboo rod with a silver slide reel seat. It is about 8' 8" long and has a small gold decal with dark border which bears the written name "foothills" near the handle. The reel seat is aft of the handle, and the rod is a three section rod, and the first eye from the handle has a red glass insert lining it.
I had it rebuilt and just after catching an 18" rainbow on the McKenzie River in Oregon, my partner got tangled up in the rod and broke the tip mid-shaft. Such is life. My question is: Is the rod worth repairing or not. If I can find or build another tip I would still use it. Any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again for the terrific service you provide. Clyde
AnswerClye,
It isn't collectable as regards to dollar value.
The model name foothills is not in my books or memory.

I probably have a tip you can use.
