AnswerJim,
I change this to public so others could read it.
I have 2 sources for Hardy:
1 Fishing Tackle: A Collector's Guide Hardcover, 1991 Graham Turner
2 Hardy and Greys Canada http://www.hardyandgreys.com/
Also
Hardy is still in business in Alnwick - on the web:

The trouble is you're asking a western US guy about an English made rod.
Hardy is not in my books but I am interested in learning. There is a guy on ebay selling a Hardy info DVD. I messaged them asking if they had more information than the above 2 sources , and specifically your serial numbers. If he says the serial numbers are on his DVD I am going to purchase it. SO get back to me via
[email protected] in 3-4 days and lets see what I know.
Here's what I know now:
Your rods serial numbers are in the year 1915. Are you sure if it is bamboo , could it be wood ?
Are the sides flat or round ? I did get your pictures but can you tell where the reel would go on the handle , above or below the grip ?
But both sources dry up at that point - no 6 piece rods. I am unsure if it is fly , salmon or casting .
You might have a very unique item.
