Actionglas Glass Rod

I have my fathers rod, model 1586, Orchard Industries, Detroit Michigan - 8.6.  It has a reel that states Automatic Mohawk Martin.  Can you tell me what it is worth.  I know that it is 40 years old or so.  Thanks so much.

Hi Chris,

Yes, the rod is probably 50-60 years old or so.  My reference book indicates the Orchard Industries rod in 8'6" length in Poor-Fair condition is valued at $15; in Good-Very Good at $45; and in Excellent-Mint at $75.  

Realistically, many of the older glass rods do not sell for high prices.  It might be difficult to actually get these prices for the rod.
