QuestionQUESTION: Hi,
I have a "Wright %26 McGill Granger Victory Rod Number GV.9660, Length 9' weighs Oz". It is within the original cylinder tube with screw tin top with original labels attached. The rod itself is in mint condition (doesn't appear to have ever been used)and has the original silk/cloth holder with ties...etc. I am looking for any information on it as well as it's value. I would like to sell it. Any information you can provide is appreciated. Tatiana
ANSWER: Hello
Wright and McGill is a fishing tackle company dating back into the 1920s. To improve their product line, they purchased the Goodwin Granger rod company - which made higher quality split bamboo rods. Thus the name Wright & McGill Granger....
I would offer $200, but you could do better selling it on ebay, etc.

QUESTION: Thanks so much for your reply, Bob! I appreciate it and will take your suggestion! I am a total novice with this and am hoping I may I ask a couple more questions...
1. what would be your starting price be
2. would you have a minimum price you would accept; i.e., would you have a
reserve price and if so,
3. what would it be?
In advance, I'm thanking you very, very much! Sincerely, Tatiana
Answerstarting price $5
reserve price $150
Actually, I usually dont use a reserve since that discourages bidders....but your at the mercy of the bidders - this item should generate decent interest.
I would also, get away from Thanksgiving...note your auction will be competing with Christmas $$ too.
