QuestionCan you give me some simple remedies to restore this fly rod (cork and the fiberglass). I also need to replace the eye on the bottom section, the tip and the first eye on the top section, the lead on the top section that goes into the ferrow needs replacing. Thank you for any help you can give me. Jim
AnswerJim,
Your local fly shop will have some guides and tip tops. They may rent you a rod wrapper and. You need to wrap the guides with special thread and cover with special 2 part epoxy. While the epoxy dries you need to keep the rod turning with a motor dryer.

I like Janns and Mudhole , good prices and inventory is always there.
Mudhole has ferrules.
Shoft tackle http://www.shofftackle.com/wrapping-guide.html and Mudhole as well as others have wrapping instruction on the internet. Building a new rod is very much like restoration.
