Answer
Jayne,
I wish I could help you more but I am a Western US bamboo fly rod guy.
ebay-UK would be one place to sell or price it . As I am not in the UK I can't really advise very well on you where to price it, but here's some thoughts;
Try the library , Fishing Tackle: A Collector's Guide Hardcover, 1991 Graham Turner does have more information on Hardy with prices.
Hardy Canada:
http://www.hardyandgreyscanada.com/
choose information , rod dating
then :
http://www.highfields.cowichanweb.com/rod-date.shtml
It tells me by your serial number that your rod was made in 1920
1920 is serial numbers C187 to C10405
Then you can see a list of models in that decade.
Take it to Farlows in London
Hardy is in Alnwick web page http://www.hardyfishing.com/en-gb/home/
look into the customer service , I see a phone number there.
This is a website selling a Hardy rod in England http://www.itackle.co.uk/greys-hardy-streamlite-fly-rods/
You can try selling it at the Classic Fly Rod Forum at no cost http://www.classicflyrodforum.com/topic/12529/t/New-Hardy-Rod-s.html
similar forums in the UK are

I quote these books written by researchers so you know I am not making it all up, But I include my experience as well.
It has taken me the best part of an hour to write this up , please take a few seconds to provide feedback. Please remember I am a volunteer , the feedback is the only result I get from doing this.
