hardy rod
i have a 9' hardy bamboo fly rod given to me by my grandfather. there is no seriel number on the rod .there is 2 symbols on the real lock and a hardy logo "made by hardy's england". one symbol has a lion and a unicorn facing each other with "made by apointment" under the seal. the second symbol looks like a crown ? with "made by appointment" under it. one tip is broken otherwise the rod seems to be in good shape. the rod was a gift to him from his brother when he was in his forties. he passed away 15 yrs ago at 94. i believe the rod was given to him in his 50's? but not sure. i would love to know more about this rod if possible.

I can't help you much without a serial number , neither are you going to resale it for much or at all for the same reason.

Try the library , Fishing Tackle: A Collector's Guide Hardcover, 1991 Graham Turner does have more information on Hardy with prices.
