fishing trip
Question
My wife has agreed to take a fishing trip for our vacation this year and I want to make it a good one. We live in central Wisconsin and would be willing to travel in the upper midwest. We mostly like to jig fish and like a balance between size and numbers. So I am looking for some advice on where the best fishing spots are in late March or early April. Thank you.
Answer
Greetings,
I would like to request a little more information from you.
Are you looking for an ice fishing trip? Most gamefishing is closed in Wisconsin that time of the year, but there are a few places available. For open water, that time of the year can be great for Steelhead on Lake Michigan tributaries. Also, the Walleyes run on the Wolf River from Fremont to Shiocton.
If you are willing to travel for ice fishing for panfish, Devil's Lake in the Dakota's and Winnibagosh in Minnesota are really good that time of the year.
Please respond if you need more information.
