ted williams roods

Question
I have a Ted Williams fishing rood.  Salt water model. Boat and pier, 5'6'' solid glass light action.  Model 93440073.  and a master spinning reel (820).  It was pasted down to me and it was just sitting in the basement.  What do yo think this might be worth?? Thank you so much

Hi Kevin,

This rod likely does not much collector value...probably in the $20-$40 range...maybe a bit more with the reel...depending on condition.  Sears had their rods made by several different rod building companies and they pretty much used the Ted Williams endorsement on all of their sporting goods for years.

You might consider posting a question on www.bloodydecks.com where there are a lot of knowledgable salt water anglers who may have additional (or even better) information on this rod.
