vintage fishing reels
Question
I have some old flyfishing reels and am trying to determine thier vintage. #1 is Good-All from Ogallala, Nebr. it has an inscription that says Good all's goods are always good--for 30 yrs. #2 is a Martin auto fish reel from Mohawk,N.Y. it says pat. appl'd for. #3 also a Martin auto fish reel from Mohawk, N.Y. It is stamped No2 and has a model or serial # of 20773. #4 is a PFLUEGER SUPEREX No 755 made in Akron, Ohio. #5 is a PFLUEGER Progress I believe the model # is 1754 but since the numbers are worn it could also be 1774. Thanks for time and help
Answer
Hello J.R.
I am not familiar with the Good All reel.
Your martin fly reels are probably from the late 1930's to early 40's. The pflueger superex is kind of hard to judge with out a picture. If it is all metal it would be from around the 1920's if it has plastic on it I would say it was from the 1950's. Your pflueger progress is from the 1950's to 1960's. None of these reels that I mentioned here are high dollar reels, and I would put a value of around $20 on each of them, but they do look nice in a display.
Sorry I couldn't help with the good-all.
