Hello I just bought a Ryobi Telescopic fishing rod and cannot find any info or value for this rod it says 5.4x7 on the handle with some inch tall Japanese symbols above these numbers. Rod is seventeen feet five inches. having trouble uploading pic if you reply I will try and send directly. Thanks and kind regards, Mark Manley St pete FL

It appears to be Japanese rod. It's the box.
I don't know how old you are but when I was a kid in the 50s Japanese made trinkets to survive . Made in Japan was synonymous with junk. Originally sold by the thousands to GIs in a light long box with lures and huge flies . Mostly consider trinkets by collectors but memorial to GIs , they have little resale or fishing value. History type information follows collectibility so you are not going to find much on it. I have some small History of Japanese rods:
