Heddon rod
I acquired a Heddon Surf Spinning rod off of Ebay. It says 9608-10' Surf Spinning on the shaft. It is a teal color with greenish wrapping around the eyelets. The cork handles are in excellent shape with NO cracking or wear. The rubber stop at the bottom of the rod is patina'd almost carmel but also isn't cracked. The eyelets are wrapped tight.
It came in the original packing sleeve with the 'Heddon' fish on the plastic. I don't think this rod has ever seen a beach.
My question is could you give me an approximate estimate on it's worth and/or where could I find out more about it online.

It sounds like you found a nice rod. I don't have much information on this one. I suggest you might try to post a question on www.bloodydecks.com where the readers and participants deal with saltwater rods all the time. Several are collectors and/or are familiar with older surf rods.
