Quantum spin reels

QUESTION: hello,i have always used the old zebco push button reels and last year my wife purchased a new pole from Academy sports store and it didnt come with a manual or any paperwork.I figured out that you have to feed it through the guide and then tie a knot off on the spool reel and it seems i can not get the knot tight enough but once i started to string the reel it seemed it wasnt going to be an issue. as  far as the adjustment knobs; left side turn dial 1-10, right side hand screw and the star adjustment next to the reel lever. i believe i used 20 or 25 lb test line(no brand name).
could you please help me out because fishing around here is about to get hot.

ANSWER: This is not really my area of ex[ertise, however It could bre that ZEBCO manufactures a special model for academy,,,,,, I am not fammiliar with the "QUANTUM"

QUESTION: let me clarify, i have a quantum spin reel and i can not figure how to properly string the reel and i do not know what the adjustments on the sides, which i stated in the first question.

After researching this out, I have learned that QUANTUM is inded an open face spinner manufactured by ZEBCO,,,,,,,,,,
