old fiberglass true temper

Question
I recieved an old fiberglass rod & reel set from my uncle after he passed away, It says its a True Temper 63 Uni-spin multitip and its about 6.5 feet long.  I had to clean it up a bit but it still works great. I guess I'm just curious about it.  I've never heard of true temper until I got this rod, If you can tell me anything about it I would really apreciate it.

The link above will take you to some interesting history on the early history of American Fork & Hoe which later became True Temper...which is both a brand name and a company name.  True Temper tools and lawn and garden products are still sold today.

Your rod is probably from the 1930s-1950s era.  Value would be in the $15-$40 range depending on condition.
