EC Powell fly rod

Question
I am trying to establish a value on an EC Powell bamboo fly rod. 9'6", 4 3/4 oz., 2 piece with exra tip. The patent number is 1932986, was made custom for my grandfather. Other than light hand oil on the cork handle, it looks like it has never been used,it is in prestine condition. It is in its orginal aluminum tube, with brass caps. I have had it for over 40 years. My grandfather lived in Marysville, and knew Mr Powell well.

Edwin C. Powell made some really good rods out of Marysville, CA.
I believe the patent 1932986, was on the double built , hallow rods but I have only seen 10 of his rods and haven't got a book on him.

EC Powell is only found in Homel above.  You specific model is not identified. SO if you want to be really sure e-mail me pictures of any logos or writing on the rod itself to [email protected]

Homel gives the following  Powell 9 1/2  rods with an extra tip, 2 or 3 sections the  values for poor, good, excellent condition respectively.

I hope you'll but everyone who write me here says their rod looks unused and in excellent or mint condition. And some of them actually are in good condition but it is rare.

If you have good pictures and a complete professional description it might sell for 1000. Let me know if you are interested and I am willing to sell it for you for a reasonable commission
