jim dandy bamboo fly rod

I have a Shakespeare Jim Dandy fly rod in three peices it is bamboo and it is in excellent condition like there is absolutely no wear on it seem to be an original and I was wondering what its worth

Hi Dean,

Unfortunately many of these bamboo rods were mass produced and not worth a lot today.  I may be wrong, but I think the Jim Dandy was the lower end line of rods.  This rod may be worth $50 or so.

That all said, I am not the old rod expert here.  Joe Douglas is the guy who could answer this in more depth.  Please post this question to him.
