Winchester collapsible fly fishing rod
Question
My father had a fishing rod that was made by Winchester many years ago(around 1929?) It was metal, collapsible and fully extended was about 9 ft. Collapsed it was about 4ft. it was blued steel(not painted) like Winchester firearms. It was the same rod featured in a (Jimmy Stewart?) movie and my father's was destroyed in a house fire in 1987. His 65th birthday is this August and my brothers and I have searched unsuccessfully for the model or other identifying info to replace it for him. Any info that you could provide to help us reward the man who raised and educated us in the ways of the outdoors would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for any time and attention you can give to this matter.
