Thank you mr Vermillion for taking time to help everyone with questions.
This was my great grandfathers fly rod which i have had for about 10 years now. I would like to know what year or years it was made and its value. If it has value i would love any history you may know thats noteable if any about the rod and the company. The only marking is on the metal where the reel sits. It says KINGFISHER
All of the peices are same in length.
AnswerThomas,
Kingfisher is a trade name. The rods were made under the Kingfisher name by various rod makers. Your rod looks like it was made by Horrocks Ibbotson out of Utica New York, pre WW2. I would put the value in the $50 range.
You can get a 2nd opinion at this site dedicated to rods, make sure you include the assembled length of the rod.
