Heddon #125
Question
QUESTION: Hi Joe,I have a Heddon Rod #125-9-2 1/2F-HCH or D .I also have the tube and bag all in Great shape. Was thinking to sell it.Can you tell me what it is worth and year it was made.Tks,Steve
ANSWER: Hi Steve,
The Heddon model #125 Expert was a private label rod made for Sears to be sold exclusively in their stores...the same goes for the Heddon model #115 Premier rod. The #125 is considered a higher quality rod than the #115. These rods were made in the late 1940s to early 1950s.
Value of the 9' model #125 rod is $230-$330 in Good-Very Good condition; and $400-$500 in Excellent-Mint condition. The actual value of this rod depends on its actual condition as agreed between you and any potential buyer.
Modern line equivalent would be a 7wt.
Thanks, Joe

QUESTION: I forgot to ask if the end rod section can be straightened out.It has a curve in it,not broken but a natural curve to the left.Crazy since it was in the tube for last 40 some years.
Answer
Hi Steve,
Yes, it can be straightened. This is a common question so I have pasted in a link below that will take you to an answer I provided another person with the same question. Good luck with the rod.
