Help!
Question
I was wondering what kind of baits & lures are good for bass
in clear water? How should I use them? How should I use
baits in murky water? What colors should I use? I fish
onshore and I get nice bass but I want to expand my
knowledge in onshore bass fishing. Thank you. You can text

Answer
Hi Chase,
Its hard to get specific when I don't know where you are fishing. I'd need a book to answer all these questions. In general, learn how to use a Texas-rigged plastic worm, a spinnerbait, and a crankbait and you will have a great start. Clear water means light line, smaller lures, natural colors, and fish early or late. Murky water means bright colors, noisy lures, and slightly bigger lures.
For specific lures for clear water I like 4" worms in watermelon or smoke colors. 4" Senko worms rigged wacky style are great. A small black bucktail jig tipped with a pork rind is deadly in clear water too.
If you have more specific details about your lake I'd be glad to help you further.
Good luck,
Marc
