horrocks-ibbotson co spinning rod

Question
I do not have a camera or skill to send a picture, but will try to give you a good description. A cane rod ,two pc. logo on rod is oblong gold circle with a red border. inside border is red and gold rooster head and the rods name appears to be "conqueror" as it is printed above the rooster head. below the rooster head are the word "a horrocks-ibbotson product" the handle is three different sections ,the bottom is 6" of cork, the next appears to be plastic with a aluminum stationary reel base and a fixed hook for your fore-finger. the front reel mount is a screw type which adjust to clasp over the front reel base. the third part is a tapered cork section about 3" long and is finished with a steel or aluminum. cap. the rod itself is six sided bamboo with black, red, and black twine. the black twine Is at either end of the red trine  the black is 1/16th wide and the red is 3/8" to 1/2" wide. this red, blk, red  pattern is true at the rod base. the rod has a red twine strip (same size as blk.1/16th" wide) above and below each binding. bottom section of rod has 1 eyelet, the top section has one eyelet and the tip. Eyelets seem heavy duty but small. rod finish is varnish and is in fair to good condition. bindings are in excellent condition. Sorry but you asked for detailed. ROD IS 5' LONG
the case has the decal with the trout, rod name, and red and gold diamond,BEST BY TEST and is light canvas and green in color with two binding cords. thank-you for your time.

Answer
Tim,
Your Horrocks-Ibbotson is not very valuable.
They are looked down upon by the collecting community and often they are justified. They were sort of mass produced , rather heavy and very slow. They are not going to resale for very much.
A small portion of these rods are decent fishing tools . It is the collector community that decides the prices , please  don't blame the messenger.

I find two books are available at larger libraries to get history and or value:
Antique & Collectable Fishing Rods: Identification & Value Guide Homel, Dan. 1997 (2nd edition 2000) ,add 30% due to the age of the book.
Bamboo Rod Restoration Handbook -Michael Sinclair
History
H-I
http://fishnbanjosplace.yuku.com/topic/13/t/History-and-value-of-Horrocks-Ibbots...

Homel doesn't mention the model "conqueror";  but he  gives the average H-I  fly bamboo fly rod, 3 sections the  value of  $22, 62 and $115 for poor, good, excellent condition respectively.

I doubt if you can get any resale value of a bamboo spinning rod.

I had a very very difficult time reading your message - there were no sentences or paragraphs. If you have more than one rod please feel free to try again.

If is an HI or Montague , it will be pretty much low resale value
