Granger fly rods
Question
I have 2 Granger fly rods. Rod one is a "Victory". It is about 9ft 2in long. I have Both tips. There is some small spots in the varnish toward the handle but the original varnish is in pretty good shape. The nickle handle has a tinge of green on it but looks like it will clean up very well. It is in it's original cloth cover but is in a "Heddron" aluminum tube. I would rate this one in good shape. The second rod is a "Favorite". This rod is 9ft 6in long. I also have both tips for this rod. The shape is about the same as the "Victory" but it has no spots in the varnish so I think it is a little bit better. They both have normal wear on the cork handle. This rod is stamped "Favorite" on the nickle handle but has no patent date or number. This rod is also in it's original cloth cover and is in it's orininal aluminum tube with brass caps. I would also rate this rod as good but I am no expert so I will rely on your opinion. I do not have the ability or knowledge to send a picture as I am almost computer illiterate. If you need more information please contact me. Thanks, Bill

Price Book:
Antique & Collectible Fishing Rods: Identification & Value Guide Homel, Dan. 1997 (2nd edition 2000) add about 30% for age of book.
Victory:
Homel gives the Granger 8 1/2' model "Victory" trout fly with an extra tip, 3 sections the value of $75, and $35 for poor, good, excellent condition respectively. Yours being 9 feet is going to be 25 to 50 less.
Favorite:
Homel gives the Granger 8 1/2' model "Favorite" trout fly with an extra tip, 3 sections the value of $90, 200 and $90 200 400
for poor, good, excellent condition respectively. Yours being 9 feet is going to be 5 to 20 less. Collectors like shorter rods.
So at least $100 each ,maybe 150
