Vintage Bamboo Fly Rod

I have a vintage bamboo fly rod and at the base above the cork handle it is marked No. FF, "The sign of the little dog" (under the picture of a little dog), Ed Maynard of Plymouth, N.H. USA. It is in a cloth case and is in really good shape. I was wandering about the manufacture and value.

Even though the maker of this rod bears my last name, i was unable to find a single piece of info on such a rod.  I have spent three days looking for information in every possible place and I still came up empty handed. I truly am sorry I was unable to answer your questions.  I assure you, I want to know the answer to your questions as much as you, I was just unable to find the slightest drop of info.
